J-STD-001 Certified Application Specialist Certification and

Recertification

This is the industry standard for commercial and high-reliability assemblies. The standard describes materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered interconnections and assemblies. Training is based on 5 different modules. Operators must be trained on the introductory section, and then may be trained on other modules covering: wires and terminals, through-hole technology, surface mount and inspection.

IPC-A-610 Certification and Recertification

The IPC-A-610 “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies” is the most widely used specification published by the IPC for the electronics manufacturing industry. This publication is a visual document that provides comprehensive accept/reject criteria for handling of electronic assemblies, marking, coatings, laminate conditions, discrete wiring assembly and surface mount assemblies.

IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification and Recertification

The IPC/WHMA-A-620 “Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies”, is the first industry consensus standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation. This standard describes acceptability criteria for crimped, mechanically secured and soldered interconnection and the corresponding lacing/restraining criteria associated with cable and harness assemblies.
